Saranac Lake- 2000

In August, OPTEMPO (President's XV) took to the playing fields of upstate New York for the Can Am Games.

This tournament allowed the Army Directors to evaluate many promising young rugby players from the Service Academy and Fort Drum. Unfortunately, many of the veteran players did not participate at this tournament. The exception was Scotty Pachelo who played outstanding all weekend as the scrumhalf.

While the level of play was generally good, without the leavening of the veterans, the final record was a disappointing 1-2
