Why
the All Army Rugby Symbol is faceless:
The faceless logo represents all those faceless Army ruggers that
have worn the jersey and sacrificed for their teammates. This
is the unknown Army rugger who has left his sweat and blood on what
Gen MacArthur referred to as the "fields of friendly
strife". It also honors the often faceless supportors of
Army Rugby who keep the team running year after year.

Why
the All Army Rugby Hooker does not wear the number 2:
In the early 1990s after an All Army participation in the Can Am
Tournament, at Lake Saranac, the Army hooker was driving home and
was involved in a fatal car accident. To honor this player,
the Army team from that date forward made the decision not to wear
#2, his number. The player was named Christopher Allen Greer.
He died on Saturday, August 4, 1990.
